SGH Warsaw School of Economics  

Founded in 1906, SGH Warsaw School of Economics (Szkoła Główna Handlowa w Warszawie, SGH) is the leading public university of economics and business in Poland. SGH Warsaw School of Economics offers many opportunities to study economics and business. Besides Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degree programmes, SGH also offers postgraduate and executive studies for people interested in lifelong learning. Our educational system complies with the Bologna Declaration, which assumes:  

  • higher education based on two main cycles: undergraduate studies (Bachelor) geared to the employment market and lasting at least three years and graduate studies (Master), which may be followed by third-cycle doctoral studies,  
  • adoption of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), I introduction of the European diploma supplement,  
  • mobility of students, teachers and researchers,  
  • cooperation with regard to quality assurance,  
  • European dimension of higher education.  

SGH has always been open to exchanging knowledge, and sharing educational and research experience with other academic centres. SGH cooperates with over 300 universities all over the world, and takes part in research activities conducted in collaboration with centres abroad. Each year academics from various countries visit SGH to attend seminars and conferences, give lectures and participate in joint research projects. SGH is involved in several international programmes for staff and students alike, including double degree programmes offered in cooperation with 16 partner universities. Every year, nearly 500 SGH students complete parts of their curricula abroad.  

As the only Polish academic member of CEMS, SGH also offers the prestigious CEMS Master’s in International Management programme. We are accredited by: EQUIS, AMBA, BSIS, IQA (CEEMAN), ACCA. 
SGH in 2022 joined CIVICA – The European University of Social Sciences. Such membership is a new level of international academic cooperation. It brings innovative educational and civic engagement opportunities to our students. They will have a chance to complete additional international exchanges as well as special teaching projects conducted jointly with CIVICA universities: Sciences Po, Bocconi, LSE, CEU, EUI, Hertie School, SSE, SNSPA and IE University.

Institute of Human Capital  

It is a leading scientific and didactic unit in Poland, offering curricula in the area of human resources management in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The Institute’s activities strengthen cooperation between academia and the business and government communities. Research conducted at the Institute is focused around the overarching goal of shaping the quality of human capital, which serves to increase the competitiveness of the Polish economy. There are two units within the department: The Organizational Behavior Unit and the Human Capital Management Unit.

University of Gdańsk

The University of Gdańsk is the largest university in the Pomeranian region. It offers education in nearly all fields of academic knowledge, in sought-after professions on the job market and in state-of-the-art facilities in its Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia campuses. We have eleven faculties with over 25 thousand students, doctoral students and post-graduates, who are taught by more than one thousand seven hundred academic staff. In such fields of study as Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Oceanography, Quantum Physics, Psychology, Law and Economic Sciences, the University of Gdańsk is well recognized in Europe.

The research activity of the University of Gdańsk scientists is conducted in twenty-one scientific disciplines, which translates into significant numbers. The University of Gdańsk ranks high in the field of innovation, has received funds to implement hundreds of projects, among others as part of the EU Framework Programmes. 

The University of Gdańsk provides education in 87 fields of study, comprising 205 specializations, full-time and part-time studies, at the level of first or second cycle studies, or within comprehensive (long cycle) five-year master’s programmes. A wide range of postgraduate courses and the possibility of further studies at doctoral schools help students to continue their pursuit of academic interests and develop their existing qualifications.

The University of Gdansk’s investment in development is concentrated in the expansion of the University on three campus sites: in Gdansk Oliwa, in Sopot, and in Gdynia. Institute of Psychology

The Institute of Psychology was founded in 1970. Since 1990 it has been a part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gdansk. The Institute awards higher education degrees in Psychology to those who complete long-cycle studies. The Institute staff is composed of prominent scholars who conduct their research studies in different corners of the globe. They publish and are cited in prestigious journals in such subdisciplines as: work and organization psychology, cross-cultural psychology, neuro-bio-psychology, developmental psychology, clinical and health psychology, psychology of individual differences, applied social psychology. The Institute of Psychology is located in the building of the Department of Social Sciences, one of Poland’s most modern facilities. It hosts: state-of-the-art auditoria, well-equipped classrooms, and specialist offices and laboratories (e.g., Laboratory of Psychological Assessment).
